The 34th annual course in law and law librarianship in Berlin has come to a close. All attendees deserve thanks for making it such a memorable and successful conference, and the wonderful selection of speakers have introduced us to a wide array of important legal topics touching on legal history and more modern aspects.

The annual course would not have been possible without the relentless and excellent work of the local organizing committee, Ivo Vogel, Katrin Spitzer, Dr. Christian Mathieu and Angela Pohl, all from the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, whose hospitality we have enjoyed.

We also owe a debt of gratitude to our gold sponsors who are all long time supporters of the Association: Wolters Kluwer International, Business Law Research and Hein. Without them, we would not be able to offer participants the social events as part of our annual courses.

It was encouraging to see that the annual course was followed by approximately 20 first time delegates. I hope they all felt welcome and will come to IALL annual courses in the future. The 35th annual course will take place in Oxford from July 31 to August 3 2016. It promises an ambitious academic program in a historical university city.
